Ron Beck, a local traveler and collector brought handmade Indonesian shadow puppets home from Indonesia for safe keeping in collaboration with puppet artists. He came to 24w and gave us a lecture of the history of these sacred puppets, and then gave us a demonstration of how the puppets were used by puppeteers who would travel the country to act out puppet shows to share news.
